Brentwood is a proud member of Climate Leaders Small Business Network ,
an Environmental Protection Agency ( EPA ) industry and government partnership that works with companies to develop comprehensive strategies to tackle climate change . As part of Brentwood ’ s membership , the company has pledged to significantly reduce its own carbon footprint over the next five years by completing a corporatewide inventory of greenhouse gas emissions , setting aggressive carbon reduction goals , and annually reporting progress to the EPA .
Following Brentwood ’ s entry into the Climate Leaders Small Business Network , the company carried out several initiatives aimed at reducing its carbon footprint . All lighting across all three sites was replaced , for instance , and 20 new polyester blowing machines were installed to improve efficiency during the filling process while simultaneously reducing energy consumption by utilizing the latest technology .
